Smyrna Rotary - Getting to Know You
In order for our Club Members to get to know each other better, we have instituted the following: 1. Red Badge Program 2. Rotate tables 3. Healthy Eating 4. Reposition Sign In table 5. Club Bulletin improvements 6. Member Speaker Introductions – have as many members as possible introduce individual speakers 7. Member Introductions – approximately five minutes each. Approx. 35 done in past 18 months. 8. Member Bios (.pdf) 9. Member Contact List (.xlsx) 10. Team Trivia
Family of Rotary banquets including our Christmas/Holiday banquet which was open to all our Rotarians and, for the first time, their children. Turnout was excellent, with ~64 in attendance. Club Bulletins – listing the names of all the members and turning the Club Bulletin into something that was a marketing brochure. We made it so that it tells a bit about what our Club does, has the Rotary International President’s name on it, DG Bob Hagan’s name on it and the names of our Club’s leaders. It also says what Smyrna Rotary Club does and how to contact for non-Rotarians (or anyone) to attend. The Club Bulletin is very attractive and very professional. Website enhancements – listing the names and business contact information for all members Birthdays and Anniversaries Club Sunshine Vary those introducing speakers Club President calls on or acknowledges or involves approximately two-thirds of Club Members at each meeting
Members such as PDG Roy Strickland have spoken about Rotary International, the Rotary Foundation, Polio Plus, Membership Growth, etc.
