The RCOM will support the National Memorial Day Association of Georgia's Annual Ceremony in Marietta National Cemetary on May 26, 2025, by providing volunteers to assist the elderly with transportation to the meeting site, as well as volunteers to hand-out programs and bottled water.

The RCoM has led Adult Literacy Classes at the South Cobb Community Center for many years (since 2009-10). Our club purchases and provides the Adult Literacy Workbooks, bi-monthly breakfast for all Attendees, and one Rotarian to teach the class that meets on alternating Saturdays. This year the class has registered 27 adults in the Fall of 2024, and 32 Adults in the Spring of 2025 for the course. Workbooks = $28.00 ea.; Breakfast Costs: Donated by Chi-Fil-A at Macland Crossing.
The Rotary Club of Marietta is excited to announce we are once again partnering with LifeSafe Resources to help them fund a playground for the children of the families they help. LiveSafe Resources was originally established in 1917 as the YMCA of North Georgia and in 2017 was rebranded to its current name. Their focus is helping women impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. Your sponsorship and participation is greatly appreciated by LiveSafe and the families they impact.
Once a month, Marietta Rotarians prepare and serve a hot meal to approximately 100 community citizens in need.
Marietta Rotarians collected and donated dental supplies in response to a need identified by the Marietta City School System.
Club members respond to the disaster in Asheville, North Carolina by providing several truck loads of supplies for much needed relief to the devasted community. Marietta Rotarian Harold Hobbs' daughter, who lives in Asheville, participated in the project.
The RCoM contributes financially to the Eastside Marietta
ESOL Learning Center by providing all materials for Fall Classes (beginning the
second Saturday in August and concluding the second Saturday in December) and
Spring Classes (beginning the first Saturday in April and concluding the second
Saturday in August. Fall 2024: 33 students @ $25.00; Spring 2025: TBD
Sponsor, buy gifts, serve food, and throw a big Christmas Party for the underserved families in the Franklin Gateway area.
In partnership with The Atlanta District of The Boys and Girls Clubs; the RCoM provides GED Prep Workbooks to facilitate GED classes at the James T. Anderson Campus (named after a former RCoM Past President) located on Manget Street in Marietta. Our Club also hosts the Graduation Ceremony for all students who successfully earn their GED after completing the 8-week course. The GED Prep Sessions run Fall and Spring. Fall 2024: 18 Students @ $24.48 ea.
Each year (for the past 3 years) the RCoM provides an
annual financial gift at Christmastime to support the Georgia National Guard Family
Support Foundation funding the provision of Christmastime toys for Army Family
Children along with seasonal groceries (hams, turkeys, mac and cheese, canned
goods, and deserts) for Military Families (Army, Air Force, Marines enlistees).
The Rotary Club of Marietta has been a long-time sponsor of the Community Easter Sunrise Service at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefied. The service this year will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025 and will begin at 6:00 am
Twice a year, Marietta Rotarians read to every 2nd-Grader in the Marietta School System. This years books, which featured Rotary's Four-Way Test, were acquired through a Rotary grant and were left in each classroom. Bookmarks featuring the 4-Way Test were provided to all students as well.
Annual service project to recognize Marietta's first responders. Over 30 Marietta Rotarians provide and serve barbecue to well over 100 public servants.
The Rotalight is the weekly newsletter of the Rotary Club of Marietta, highlighting the current week's program, minutes from the previous week's meeting, updates on service projects and other information useful to Club members. It is an excellent marketing and public image tool for the Club.
Marietta Rotarians serve Chick-fil-A meals and Valentine's treats to 300 residents at two local senior living facilities. Chick-fil-A owner/operator and Marietta Rotarian Sandeep Kapoor donated all thew food. Marietta Rotarians pitched in after a club meeting to prepare the Valentine's bags filled with treats.
Provided support of $10,225 to sponsor the Marietta City Schools Adaptive Games, which included a parade, noncompetitive activities and games, and lunch at the Marietta High School Track & Field for over a hundred special needs students from throughout the school system. Twenty-three volunteers from the Rotary Club of Marietta assisted with the parade, the noncompetitive games and activities and served lunch to the students and staff.
Club Members were asked to donate food staples to support families living in poverty or who had requested help with providing a Thanksgiving meal. For each Club meeting in November 2024, members were asked to purchase or donate food items and place in bins next to the check-in table.
The Women's Extension is a community supported non-profit organization providing comprehensive long-term residential treatment to homeless, addicted women. Our Club pays for and serves dinner to the women once a month on the 4th Thursday.
Marietta Rotarians collect coats for the needy and homeless in our community during the month of January 2025.
Club members collected and donated feminine hygiene products for the month of October 2024. Over $1000 of feminine hygiene products were purchased and donated to students at Marietta Middle School, Marietta High School and Girls, Inc.
