Adaptive Games- On October 3rd, 2025, a beautiful Friday morning, the Rotary Club of Marietta provided exceptional support for more than 225 special needs athletes, treating them like the star players they are. For the fifth consecutive year, Marietta Rotary served as the primary sponsor of the Marietta City Schools’ Adapted Games, held each fall at Marietta High School. Members and volunteers who assisted with the games and food included Don Barbour, Mark and Dena Barbour, Jeff Cooper, Alan Gibby, Abbott Hall, Cliff Kelker, Josh and Courtney Kopsie, Julia Sebastian, Rosser Southerland, Walt Walker, Megan Walter, along with prospective member Michael Ferrara.

Marietta Reads- Our Marietta Reads story begins with young Andy relaxing under an apple tree when “Kerplunk!” an apple falls on his head. Inspired, he decides to make “Andy’s Apple Dumplings,” but a voice suddenly asks, “Is it the Truth?” Realizing the apples belong to Elmer, Andy begins his journey through the Four-Way Test in Andy and Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure.

Crutches 4 Africa


Thursday, October 16, 2025, three Marietta Rotarians- Jim Fausett, Richard Cope, and Walt Walker- worked in Richard’s warehouse to support the mission of Crutches 4 Africa, a nonprofit founded by David and Candice Talbot to provide mobility equipment to children in Kenya. Rotarians from the Marietta and North Cobb clubs helped package and load hundreds of crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, and leg braces onto an 18-wheeler bound for Savannah, where the shipment will be sent by ship to Africa.

Dental Hygiene


Dental Hygiene Collection for Marietta City Schools- The October service project focused on collecting children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste for Marietta City Schools. Fourteen Rotarians participated, working throughout the month to gather much-needed dental hygiene supplies. Thanks to their generosity, the Club collected 780 toothbrushes and 415 tubes of toothpaste. This project plays a vital role in supporting students, as many children in our community do not have regular access to proper dental care or basic hygiene products.

Feminine Hygiene


Feminine Hygiene- During September, the Rotary Club of Marietta organized a service project to collect feminine hygiene products for Marietta City Schools and Girls Inc. Thanks to the generosity of more than 15 Rotarians, the drive was a tremendous success, resulting in the collection of over 4,000 tampons and 3,000 pads.

First Responder Luncheon


First responders Lunch - Wednesday, September 10, 2025, brought together 31 Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Marietta and several Marietta dignitaries at the Fire Department’s pavilion next to the Marietta Police Department on a perfect 70-degree fall day to honor, celebrate, and recognize the remarkable service of the Marietta Police Department, Marietta Fire Department, and other First Responders, all while enjoying a meal catered by Dave Poe’s famous BBQ.

LiveSafe Check donation $20,000


Check Presentation to LiveSafe- On September 3rd, the Club presented LiveSafe Resources with a check representing a portion of the proceeds from the May golf tournament. A giant ceremonial check- and the real check- were presented to Lisa Mello, CEO of LiveSafe Resources, for $20,000. The Club is proud to once again partner with LiveSafe and deeply appreciates the important work they accomplish in our community.

Womens Extension Dinner


Women’s Extension- Residents of The Women’s Extension were treated to a fried chicken dinner accompanied by sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes, prepared and served by the Rotary Club of Marietta. We had 5 Rotarians volunteer on a sweltering, humid July 24, 2025 evening to help prep and serve the meal.
