Marietta Reads

Marietta Reads! is a citywide effort to foster reading and literacy in the community.

The Rotary Club of Marietta Sponsored the 2019-2020 Kickoff of Marietta Reads! on September 14 in the Marietta Square. Our volunteers assisted with set up of booths, tables and chairs as well as "free" book tables for the day-long event. Children and families attended and got information on all aspects of reading and strategies for reading achievement.

In late October 2019, our membership visited every elementary school in Marietta and read to over 800 children. We are scheduled for our spring visit in late March.

At each of our weekly meetings, we donate a book to Marietta Reads! in honor of our presenting speaker.
