The Rotary Club of Marietta showed its appreciation for Marietta’s public safety professionals on Wednesday, September 9, by catering and serving lunch to members of the Marietta Police Department, Marietta Fire Department, and Marietta 911 Communications.

Rotary members gathered to personally serve lunch to the men and women who work every day to protect, respond to, and care for the Marietta community. The event offered club members an opportunity to express their gratitude to first responders and emergency communications professionals for their dedication and service.

“Service Above Self is at the heart of Rotary, and this was a simple but meaningful way for our club to say thank you to the people who serve our community every day,” said Elizabeth Manning, President of the Rotary Club of Marietta. “Our police officers, firefighters, and 911 professionals are there for our community in some of its most difficult moments. We were honored to spend time with them and show how much their service is appreciated.”

The luncheon reflects the Rotary Club of Marietta’s longstanding commitment to service and community partnerships throughout Marietta. Club members support a variety of local initiatives each year, including programs benefiting students, families, nonprofit organizations, and community partners.

For the Rotary members who participated, the day was about more than providing a meal. It was an opportunity to connect personally with local public safety personnel and recognize the important role they play in making Marietta a strong and caring community.
