Adult Literacy Classes at the South Cobb Community Center

The RCoM has led Adult Literacy Classes at the South Cobb Community Center many years (since 2009-10, President Adele Grubbs). Our club purchases and provides the Adult Literacy Workbooks, bi-monthly breakfast for all Attendees, and one Rotarian to teach the class [Past President Mark Barbour] that meets on alternating Saturdays. This year the class had/has registered 27 adults in the Fall of 2026 [Aug. thru Nov.], and 33 Adults in the Spring of 2026 (Feb. 28th, 14th, 28th, etc…until May 9th) for the course. Workbooks = $28.00 ea.; Breakfast Costs: Donated by Chi-Fil-A of Macland, Rotarian Sandeep Kapoor.
