This Week's Speaker
Bob Buschman, Fiscal Research Center, Georgia State University

Join us today as we welcome Bob Buschman, the associate director of the Fiscal Research Center (FRC) at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.  You may join in person at LeMeridien or via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86202979419. Note that we will be meeting again in a new place at LeMeridien - the Grand Salon on the Lobby Level.

Bob is FRC’s key contact for fiscal note analyses of proposed Georgia revenue legislation as well as tax incentive evaluations and the state's tax expenditure report. His research interests include corporate and personal taxation, growth and equity effects of tax reform, state and local fiscal policy, and other topics. Prior to joining the Andrew Young School, Bob worked for several years in corporate banking and corporate financial management.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University, an MBA in finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and a master’s degree and doctorate in economics from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.

Service Opportunities
All Our Gardens are Calling!

It's a rare Saturday where you have two opportunities to serve that involve fresh air and gardens! This Saturday, March 12, you may choose to join Ranger Fred at Bounds Gardens for our regular clean-up ... 9:00 am at the traffic island across from the Dunwoody Library. Or, you may join Cathie Brumfield at the Dunwoody Nature Center at 9:00 am to help in the old growth forest. If you're planning on the Nature Center, please go to their website and register - we normally work from about 9 - noon.

Hope to see you in the gardens this weekend!

Rotary Means Business
Consider a Great Networking Opportunity - Tuesday March 5

If you are looking for an informal social setting to meet new people, share ideas, network and learn from fellow Rotarians who are leaders in their field, consider the Rotary Means Business Fellowship. This District 6900 Vocation group focuses on supporting Rotarians and their colleagues in all professions. The next meeting is this coming Tuesday, March 15, at Pure Taqueria - Brookhaven Location: 3589 Durden Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30319 at 6:30 pm.

GRSP Leadership Weekend
Thanks to All of You!

The GRSP Leadership weekend was a great success! We had 35 students for the weekend ... and our focus was on having fun while providing inspiration to do good in the world. We couldn't have achieved what we did this weekend without so many of you - and the more than 500 hours you invested in all the weekend's activities. A special thanks to Ron and Louise Barden for leading our efforts, to Very Rev. P. Richard Game, Rector of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church for an amazing venue, and to the Rotary Clubs of Atlanta Metro, Buckhead, Gainesville and North Atlanta, as well as the Rotaract Club of Atlanta!
